When you first start your Software treatment, we recommend paring back all of your skincare products and just using a cleanser, moisturiser, and sunscreen (and your Software treatment, of course).
After a month or so, you can begin introducing your favourite products back in—but there are a few you may have to stop using, as they could double up on the ingredients in your Software formula or otherwise interfere with your treatment.
When using your Software treatment, we recommend that you don’t **use any products containing:
- Lactic acid
- Salicylic acid
- Kojic acid
- Citric acid
- Mandelic acid
- Glycolic acid
- Benzoyl peroxide
- Retinoids, including retinol, retinyl, retinaldehyde, and Vitamin A
We also recommend using products containing AHAs and BHAs only once or twice a week, if you choose to use them at all. If you have a favourite product containing Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), we recommend using it in the morning and your Software treatment at night so the two don’t clash. If you have a much-loved product that you’d like to continue using but you’re not sure if you should, simply pop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help you out.
