Depending on what ingredients the facial contains, you may be totally fine or we may recommend against it. Generally, at-home face masks (including sheet masks and clay masks) are fine, so long as they don’t contain any of the following:
- Lactic acid
- Salicylic acid
- Kojic acid
- Citric acid
- Mandelic acid
- Glycolic acid
- Benzoyl peroxide
- Resorcinol
- Retinoids, including retinol, retinyl, retinaldehyde, and Vitamin A
If you are looking to receive a facial at a dermatologist’s office, beauty salon, spa, or any other facility, we recommend asking the technician treating you whether the face mask will be compatible with your Software treatment. Please let them know what ingredients your Software treatment contains and how frequently you use the treatment so they can give you their best advice.
