The skin around our eyes, nose and mouth is more sensitive than on other parts of the face as it is generally thinner. Sometimes using topical skin treatments such as retinoids too close to these areas can cause irritation and dryness.
It is usually best to avoid applying your Software treatment too close to the eyes, nose and mouth, especially at the beginning of your skin journey to minimise the risk of skin sensitisation.
If you have sensitive skin, you can ‘buffer’ the areas around your eyes or mouth with moisturiser or Vaseline before applying your treatment to the rest of your face (forehead, cheeks and chin) which can help reduce the risk of irritation and dryness.
To help soothe dry eyes or lips, you can apply a lipid rich moisturiser such as Software’s Ceramide Repair Balm and use a nourishing lip balm such as La Roche Posay Cicaplast.
