Capillaries, or broken capillaries, are very common at any age and are usually caused by a couple of things:
- π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Genetics People whose family members experience broken capillaries are more likely to have them, too.
- βοΈ Sun exposure Sun damage can enlarge the blood vessels and draw them closer to the skin.
- π₯΅ Rosacea This is a common condition that causes the skin to become flushed and red due to enlarged veins. People with rosacea often experience broken capillaries.
- π€§ Trauma to the skin Like blowing your nose often, causes bruising can also cause broken blood vessels. In this case, the blood vessels will often heal as the bruise does.
Your Software treatment can actually improve the look of broken capillaries because of the retinoids in your cream.
Other tips I recommend to help reduce the look of the capillaries:
-
𧴠Always wear sunscreen
-
π¦ Drink cold water If you tend to gym or exercise a lot and your face gets hot, try drinking cold water
-
πββοΈ Keep your skin moisturised Make sure you're using a good amount of hydrating moisturiser.
-
π Try a vitamin C serum Taking vitamin C may help reduce the appearance of broken blood vessels on the face.
The appearance of the capillaries may never fade away completely even with these tips, treatments or even laser therapy, so please keep that in mind!
